About the Content

Flexibility needs to be supported by strength to ensure that joints are safe and muscles have the right amount of tension so that they’re strong enough to support the movements, which allows one to become more physically fit.

Our hips are a complex group of muscles attaching our lower body and legs and largely divided into- gluteal group, lateral rotator group, adductor group, and iliopsoas group. This plan is for you if you wish to work towards making your lower body strong and flexible. Advanced asanas are broken down and the videos guide you gradually and steadily into poses while working on all the elements separately.

Benefits-

  • Helps build strength in lower body- glutes, hip flexors, thighs, calves, ankles and feet.
  • Helps in finding mobility in joints- toes, ankles, knees and hips.
  • Improves circulation of blood in legs.
  • Stretches and stabilizes connecting tissues and the smallest of muscles to create strong, stable and balanced foundations for advanced hip opener asanas.

Precautions-

  • It is suggested that you practice yoga according to your physical ability. Do not force yourself and listen to your body.
  • Sthira Sukham Asana- Found stability and ease in every pose. Try to attain a position where you are able to hold the posture with ease.
  • In case of an injury or accident, it is suggested that you consult a physician before taking up this practice.
  • Do not attempt poses without proper warm-up as it may lead to injury.
  • Enjoy the journey instead of working towards the end posture with ego.
